Quantum Immobilien KVG further expanded its managed real estate assets last year. In December 2022, assets under management stood at 11.3 billion euros—an increase of 1.3 billion euros compared to the same month of the previous year. The focus remains on residential and office properties, complemented by the asset classes retail, healthcare, light industrial, and parking.
The strongest growth last year came from the residential (+460 million euros) and healthcare (+500 million euros) asset classes. The three largest transactions were the acquisitions of the urban districts “Jazz” in Hamburg’s HafenCity and “Königsteiner Höfe” in the Taunus region, as well as the purchase of a parking garage portfolio in the Netherlands.
The significant growth in the healthcare segment is attributable to Quantum’s acquisition of Munich-based investment manager SHI Management in September. Under the future brand Quantum SHI, three funds for healthcare and care properties are currently being managed.
“Despite the turbulent market environment, we were able to continue our growth trajectory consistently. I’m very pleased about that! 2023 will certainly remain a challenging market environment,” says Philipp Schmitz-Morkramer, co-founder and member of the management board at Quantum.
