Hamburg, 15/04/2025 | Purchased for a club of institutional investors in autumn 2023, the Beckmann Tower & Wilhelm House building complex in Copenhagen was completed on schedule at the end of March. Full occupancy has already been achieved. All 196 apartments have been rented out, handed over to their new tenants and transferred to ongoing asset management.

"The first purchase in Denmark represents a strategically important milestone for Quantum. We look forward to the next steps together with our investors and local partners. Copenhagen in particular is exciting and offers new investment opportunities", says Frank Gerhard Schmidt, CEO of Quantum Immobilien AG.

"We would like to thank everyone involved in the project for their trusting and reliable cooperation, especially the seller Carlsberg City District P/S, which completed the project to an excellent standard. Our asset management team in Copenhagen will now take over in close coordination with our headquarters in Hamburg", adds Martin Berghoff, Managing Director of Quantum.

Living in an up-and-coming area of Copenhagen

The Beckmann Tower & Wilhelm House building complex was designed by Danish architect Dorte Mandrup and is located in the Carlsberg Quarter, a vibrant neighbourhood on historic ground. Here, modern architecture meets historic charm. The excellent craftsmanship is reflected, for example, in the high-quality clinker brick façade of the buildings.

The Beckmann Tower and Wilhelm House now stand on the site where the Carlsberg Brewery's headquarters used to be. The 196 privately financed rental apartments diversify the housing supply in the entire quarter and offer highly sought-after living space in an up-and-coming location in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen as an investment location

In a dynamic market environment, it is important to make the right decisions at the right time. As pioneers in digitalisation and sustainability, Denmark and, above all, Copenhagen as its capital city are setting standards – and are one step ahead of the rest of Europe. Quantum combines scientific findings, local expertise and strategic background information on Copenhagen as an investment location in its publication Insights Copenhagen.
