Wohnen am Suttnerpark

Hamburg

In Hamburg’s Altona district, Quantum developed a new-build complex together with the city-owned housing company SAGA GWG and architectural practice nps tchoban voss, with more than two-thirds of the units publicly subsidised. A total of 165 family-friendly apartments and two retail buildings were created on a site at the corner of Max-Brauer-Allee and Holstenstraße that had lain undeveloped for many years. Of the 113 subsidised apartments, 26 were designed as homes for senior citizens.

The eight-storey building at the corner is stepped in height and adapts to the existing buildings on the site to the rear. Three peaceful residential courtyards are located at the back, with the apartments’ bedrooms facing onto them.

Together with Richard Ditting GmbH & Co. KG, Quantum created 2,000 sq m of retail space on the ground floor of the new building. Having a supermarket with an adjoining bakery in the building is particularly beneficial for older residents.

Peaceful, modern, liveable.

The complex is not only centrally located and easily accessible by car and public transport; thanks to Suttner-Park at the rear, it also enjoys an unexpectedly green setting.
