Quantum has acquired the Biesdorfer Höhe retirement home in Berlin for a fund it manages. This shows that there is still demand for care properties with high structural quality.
Hamburg, 09/01/2025 | Quantum SHI Management GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quantum Immobilien AG specialising in healthcare, has acquired the Biesdorfer Höhe retirement home in Berlin for a fund it manages. The seller is BK Benner-Knieps eGbR from Wiesbaden. The property is a modern care facility with a very good economic operating size in the Biesdorf district of Berlin.
‘We are delighted to further strengthen and expand our healthcare portfolio with this purchase,’ says Constantin Gutknecht, Managing Director of Quantum SHI, adding: ‘The successful transaction shows that care properties with high structural quality continue to be in demand and that the asset class offers attractive investments. We continue to look for exciting opportunities in all segments of healthcare real estate – especially in the areas of assisted living, inpatient care and medical centres.’
The Biesdorfer Höhe retirement home offers a total of around 180 full-time nursing care places in a popular residential area and a senior-friendly environment. The property has good public transport connections and is within easy reach of local amenities and medical services.
The transaction took place as part of an asset deal. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
