Hamburg, 24/11/2022 | Construction is in full swing on the 20,000 m² site opposite the Eidelstedt bus station: Next spring, the first part of the new Eidelstedter Höfe district will already be completed. The first residents will then move into the first of a total of 360 new apartments.
Leasing of the first construction phase has begun
Effective immediately, Quantum is launching the leasing of 70 privately financed rental apartments in the first construction phase. The 2- to 4-room apartments are spread across three buildings, each with five floors. All apartments have their own garden, a large balcony, or a rooftop terrace. A special feature is the digital concept: Using a dedicated smartphone app, tenants can sign the lease, monitor current energy consumption, or open the front door. Rents are expected to range between 14 and 19 euros per m².
“What’s special about Eidelstedter Höfe is the short distances. There will be a daycare center directly in the district, as well as shopping facilities and a large medical center. The Eidelstedt Center and the bus station are also right on the doorstep. The district enriches Eidelstedt with a vibrant, intergenerational residential neighborhood,” says Quantum Managing Director Knut Sieckmann.
Smart mobility concept and plenty of greenery
The new district relies on smart mobility and sharing concepts. For cyclists, there will be e-cargo bikes for rent and a StadtRad station in the district. The underground garages will have charging stations for e-bikes. There will also be sufficient charging stations for electric cars, and car-sharing stations will be integrated into the district.
Large courtyards and public cycling and pedestrian paths connect the individual buildings within the district. Cars are deliberately kept out of the inner area.
Quantum acquired the district from DITTING
By 2025, 360 rental apartments will be built in Eidelstedter Höfe, including 68 publicly subsidized apartments at particularly socially acceptable rents. In mid-2021, Quantum acquired most of the apartments, as well as the daycare center, retail space, and the 4,500 m² medical center from DITTING for a fund. The northern German construction company is developing and building the new district. The leasing and management of the apartments is handled by Wentzel Dr. GmbH.
