# Grimm 6

 

### Hamburg

 

Quantum commissioned Bothe Richter Teherani to build on the narrow gap site on Grimm, a small historic street in Hamburg’s Nikolaifleet district, in 2001 – also creating premises for its own company. At the time, Quantum occupied the top two floors of the glazed office building.

In contrast to the neighbouring buildings, which appear particularly solid as a result of combining several development plots, Grimm 6 occupies a frontage of just 12.25 metres. The building’s load-bearing column structure is visible through the façade, echoing the vertical character typical of the historic surroundings. It is a building that integrates sensitively without subordinating itself. Inside, too, attention to detail is evident throughout – from the floor-plan layout and interior design to the sophisticated lighting concept.
